The Council of Advocates of Ukraine approved the allocation of funds between the Higher Qualification and Disciplinary Bar Commission of Ukraine and local Bar Commissions to ensure the exercise of powers of new self-government bodies, established according to the Law of Ukraine “On the Bar and Advocacy”.

Therefore, the Council of Advocates of Ukraine by its decision No 24 of 17 December 2012 established the distribution of funds received as payment for the qualification exams by local Bar Commissions in the following proportion:  90% remains with local Bar Commissions while 10% goes to the Higher Qualification and Disciplinary Bar Commission of Ukraine.

The decision was taken in accordance with Article 55 of the Law of Ukraine “On the Bar and Advocacy”.

Reference: In accordance with paragraph 3 of Article 58 of the Law of Ukraine “On the Bar and Advocacy” the maintenance of self-government may be financed out of the funds received from the local Bar Commissions in support of the effective operation of the Higher Qualification and Disciplinary Bar Commission of Ukraine.
